Description of SMS Program
Task and Build operates two SMS messaging programs for customers who have opted in to receive text messages from us:
- 1. Customer Care Program (Transactional):
This program sends service-related messages to customers who have requested handyman, home remodeling, bathroom remodeling, carpentry, or painting services from us. Messages include estimate confirmations, appointment reminders, job completion notifications, service follow-ups, and post-service review requests. Consent for this program is collected verbally at the time of service intake or via our estimate request forms.
- 2. Marketing and Informational Program (Low Volume Mixed):
This program sends promotional offers, seasonal maintenance specials, reactivation outreach to past customers, and occasional informational notices. Consent for this program is collected exclusively through a separate, optional checkbox on our website contact form. Marketing consent is collected separately from transactional consent and is not bundled with any service or purchase requirement.
Consent to Receive Messages
By providing your phone number to Task and Build and opting in, you agree and acknowledge that we may send account notifications, customer care, and marketing text messages to your wireless phone number.

"Hi, this is Task and Build. We're reaching out regarding your request for a free bathroom remodel quote in Norwalk, CT. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging."
"Good evening, this is Task and Build. This is an account notification that your project invoice has been sent. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging."
Message Frequency
SMS frequency will vary depending on the type of communication and your relationship with our business. Transactional messages are typically 1–3 per project phase. Marketing messages are typically 1–2 per customer per month.
Opt-Out Instructions
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. Once you reply STOP, you will receive a confirmation message and will not receive further SMS messages from that program. To opt back in after opting out, reply START to any previous message or contact us directly.

Carrier Liability Disclaimer
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to the availability and performance of your wireless carrier's network, and we cannot guarantee that any message will be delivered to your device.
Age Restriction
You must be 18 years of age or older to use this SMS service. By opting in to receive messages from Task and Build, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to provide consent on behalf of the wireless phone number provided.
User Obligations & Compliance with Laws
When using our messaging service, you agree to abide by all applicable laws and regulations. You must not use this service to send messages that are offensive, illegal, or intended to harass or harm others. You acknowledge that the messaging service must be used in compliance with all relevant laws, including those relating to privacy, telecommunications, and commercial communications.
